The Monument to the Fallen of Treviso called & x22;Gloria& x22; is an important symbol of the history of this city. It is located at the northeast corner of Piazza della Vittoria in the historic center of Treviso, was inaugurated in 1931 in the presence of the King and was wanted by the administration of the time to honor the sacrifice of the city and the province, in & x27; last phase of the Great War. The work is the result of a national competition of 1926 won by the sculptor Arturo Stagliano of Turin origin. Furthermore, the construction of the monument is the result of a long debate that involved the city of Treviso on the most suitable place to host a monument of this type. The creation of this work was also an opportunity to give life to a new square & x28;Piazza della Vittoria& x29; which now includes in itself, the first two existing & x28;Bressa and Cavallerizza& x29; and is one of the main points in which it winds city ​​life.
