Traditional stone dome house called Bombo from Tomelloso, Castilla La Mancha, Spain. The construction is set at a ploughed field with the furrows circling it under a clear blue sky. A Bombo is a shelter, mainly to keep cool in very hot weather, made by vineyard workers with the stones they collect from the field they plough. This Bombo in particular has been rehabilitated and whitewashed for regular use and it doesn't appear in its original condition. The distinctness of this hand-made architectural construction is that it is built without any kind of mortar, not even at its vaulted roof. The construction technique is intricate and remains shrouded in mystery.
