Common Buzzard Buteo buteo. It is a bird species belonging to the Buteo (hawks) genus of the Acciptridae family. Its scientific name is Buteo buteo. It is a bird of prey with broad wings, a wide and short neck, and a medium-length tail. Its flight tail is fan-shaped. It lives and breeds in open areas, agricultural areas, pastures and forested areas close to marshes. It builds its nest in trees. Like all daytime raptors, it incubates once a year. It can be seen perched on a tree or pole near open areas, watching for its prey. It flaps its wings harder and faster than the Honey Buzzard during flight. It is mostly observed while drawing circles with the warming air.
