Âlvulus arvÃânsis) is a type of perennial herb of the Bindweed family (Convolvulaceae) with a climbing stem and a creeping branching rhizome. In cultivated areas, it is a common weed. It is widely distributed in the European part of Russia, in the Caucasus, in Western and Eastern Siberia, in the Far East and in Central Asia. It is used in traditional medicine. Contains psychotropic alkaloids, and cardiac glycosides are present in the leaves. In the composition of hay, the plant is suitable for feeding livestock.
