Salvia farinacea Benth is a perennial herbaceous plant and evergreen shrub of the Salvia genus in the family Lamiaceae. Clustered, the entire plant is covered with soft hairs The stem is quadrilateral in shape, with a slightly woody lower part Leaves opposite, long elliptical, apex gradually pointed and base broadly cherry shaped, slightly extending downwards A long spike shaped inflorescence with a bell shaped calyx The flowering and fruiting period is from July to October. Named after its light purple blue spikes and flower stalks resembling the long and slender tail of a mouse.
