Astilbe chinensis is a perennial herbaceous plant of the genus Primula. The stem is cylindrical in shape, with brown membranous scale like hairs or long soft hairs at the base. Astilbe chinensis blooms in conical inflorescences, with dense flower growth and almost no stems. The sepals have 5 deep slits, and the petals have 5 narrow strips. Astilbe chinensis grows in valleys, streams, undergrowth, forest edges, and meadows at elevations of 390-3600 meters. Distributed in China, Russia, North Korea, and Japan. Suitable for planting under sparse forests and semi shaded areas of forest walls, it can also be planted by streams and lakes.
