This is a spring picture of the iconic St. Mary’s Catholic Church known as the “Prairie Cathedral” located in Beaverville, Illinois in Iroquois County. This limestone block structure was designed by Joseph Molitor, it is an e ample of Romanesque Renaissance architecture, it was built in 1911. This church was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 2, 1996. This picture was taken on May 22, 2020.
