A Batwing Coral crab is uncommon to rare due to over-harvesting. It inhabits shallow coral reefs, hiding during the day in protective recesses, while foraging in the open at night. It comes in shades of orange, red or brown with white and yellow spots and markings. Its legs are red with purple shading. It is commonly known as Coral Crab, Red Coral Crab and Queen Crab.
