This is one of the coastal forts along the Atlantic coast at Cape May, New Jersey. The walls are 6 feet thick and made of reinforced concrete with a blast proof roof. It sits on dozens of wood pilings not currently visible. It was complete in 1943. The view here is entrance no. 1 where a 6 inch crew served gun barbette was located removed.
