A couple of Basque flags flying from a Basque home in San Sebastian, Spain. The yellow flag at the left is called Arrano beltza (black eagle in Basque). It is an ancient Basque and Navarre symbol which shows a black eagle upon a yellow background. Today it is mostly, though not exclusively, used by Basque nationalists as a symbol of Euskal Herria. The red, green and white flag is the ikurrina (in Basque) or ikurriña (Spanish spelling of that Basque word). It is a Basque symbol and the official flag of the Basque Country Autonomous Community of Spain.
