| Basuncuo means green water in the Tibetan language. It is about 18 kilometers long, and the lake area is about 27 square kilometers. The deepest point is 120 meters, and the lake is 3,480 meters above sea level. It is a famous sacred lake and holy land of the Red Religion, and was included in the world tourism scenic spot (point) by the World Tourism Organization in 2001. |
