| La ClerecÃa is the name given to the building of the old Royal College of the Holy Spirit (or Holy Spirit) of the Society of Jesus, built in Salamanca between the s. XVII and s. XVIII. It is baroque in style. There is a difference between the school, with an interesting cloister, and the church, with an impressive three-section façade. The name of ClerecÃa is due to an abbreviated denomination of its belonging to the Real ClerecÃa de San Marcos after the expulsion of the Jesuits from Spain. |
