| TV News icon and co-creator and host of The View, Barbara Walters, at 83, arrives on the red carpet for the 9th Annual Time 100 Gala in New York City on April 23, 2013. Walters was a ground-breaking television personality, whose tv career spanned over 5 decades, into her mid-80s. In her final chapter, in 1997 she became the co-creator and co-producer of the long-running Emmy-winning popular and controversial daily talk show on the ABC-TV Network, 'The View,' which features an all-female panel. Walters died on December 30, 2022, at her Manhattan home, at the age of 93. |
