| A view of the baptistery near the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in the old part of Bergamo (Citta Alta). Constructed in 1340 by Giovanni da Campione, it was dismounted during major building works in 1650 but was saved and, in 1856, reassembled in the canons courtyard. It was moved to its present site in 1889. |
