This is a picture of the Baha i House of Worship in Wilmette, Illinois. The temple is the oldest surviving Baha i Temple in the world and the only one in the United States. The temple was designed by Louis Bourgeois, the cornerstone was layer in 1912, actual construction began in 1920, and exterior construction was completed in January 1943. The temple was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 23, 1978. This picture was taken on November 29, 2014.
