The Aymani Kadyrova Mosque is a mosque in the city of Argun in the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation. It was opened on May 16, 2014. It is named after the widow of the first president of the Chechen Republic Akhmad Kadyrov — Aimani Kadyrova. The construction of the mosque began in mid-January 2011 in the center of Argun, on the site of the former city mosque. It was designed by Turkish specialists and built by Inkomstroy according to the project of the Turkish architect Deniz Baykan. The construction of the mosque was carried out at the expense of the regional public fund named after Akhmat Kadyrov. It lasted 1238 days and was completed in mid-April 2014. The Aymani Kadyrova Mosque was built in the high-tech style and is the first mosque in Russia made in an ultramodern form. During the day, depending on the weather, the arches of the mosque change shades of colors — from light gray to turquoise-blue. At night, the mosque and the surrounding areas are illuminated with multi-colored LED lamps and spotlights. The symbol of Islam — a crescent with a star-is erected in front of the entrance to the mosque. A five-ton crescent-shaped chandelier measuring 31 meters in diameter is suspended in the main prayer hall. The Aymani Kadyrova Mosque consists of four floors, three of which — under an oval dome — are intended for men. The upper tier of the mosque is reserved for women and has a separate entrance.
