Located in the Piatra Craiului Massif, under the curvature between Piatra Mica and Pietrei Mari Tower Peak, Curmatura chalet is an important tourist base serving as a stopover for hikers who cross the paths on Piatra Mica and the northern ridge of Pietra Craiului.
Situated in a thicket of spruce forest that surrounds it and ends under the steep tower, it is also a base for alpine tours in this area. The Piatra Craiului Mountains are a mountain range in the Southern Carpathians in Romania. Its name is translated as Kings` Rock or The Rock of the Prince. The mountain range is located in BraÃâ¢ov and ArgeÃ⢠counties; it is included in the Piatra Craiului National Park. One of the most common activities in Piatra Craiului is trekking. `PrÃÆpÃÆstiile ZÃÆrneÃâ¢tilor` gorge is one of the most visited sights in the massif.
