| Pictured is the back of the Auseres Burgtor Gate or Heldentor, the main entrance to the Hofburg Palace. It was built in 1821 by Peter Nobile. The Flag of Austria is flying atop the gate. The gate commemorates the Battle of Leipzig in 1813 where Austria and its allies defeated the outnumbered troops of Napoleon. |
