Asiatic Lioness and Lion Asiatic lion Panthera leo leo pair resting in the shade. Asiatic Lions are places in endangered category of IUCN and only remains in Gir National Park in Gujarat , India in wild condition. There too they are facing threats of poaching , habitat loss , man animal conflict , internal fighting of prides , diseases like canine distemper virus etc. Supreme Court of India already ordered to shift some Asiatic Lions from Gir to Palpur Kuno Sanctuary in Madhya Pradesh to minimize these threats and to create one more safe habitat of these only remaining Asiatic Lions in India but arrogant Gujarat State Government, their regionalism ego, hatred towards other states are resulted in contempt of honorable supreme court of India. Recently 24 Asiatic Lions died in the Gir Sanctuary
