| Apache Junction is a city in Maricopa and Pinal counties in Arizona, USA. It is located in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area and is named for the junction of the Apache Trail and Old West Highway. Part of Apache Junction is located on the foothills of Superstition Mountains, the westernmost peak of which is in the center of the photo. Hanging chain cholla and saguaro cacti are visible, also a little hedgehog cactus in the foreground. |
