With a total length of 7322 meters, Xiangyang Ancient City is located on the south bank of the middle reaches of the Han River, surrounded by water on three sides and backed by mountains on one side. It is one of the most famous ancient city architectural defense systems in Chinese history and the most complete ancient city defense architecture in China. The ancient city of Xiangyang has six gates: Zhenhua Gate, Linhan Gate, Gongchen Gate, Yangchun Gate, Xicheng Gate and Wenchang Gate. |
