| Pictured is a `Dirk Nowitzki` statue by Omri Amrany in front of the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Nowitzki spent all 21 years of his extraordinary career as a Dallas Maverick. Between his rookie year in 1999 and his retirement in 2019 he was named an NBA all-star fourteen times and led the Mavericks to their first and only NBA championship in 2011. He was famous for his one-legged fadeaway shot and his loyalty. The 23-foot statue was unveiled December 25th, 2022 on Victory Plaza. The words under his name, `Loyalty Never Fades Away` have 21 letters matching his 21 year career. |
