| The American toad is widespread throughout North America. It is large, growing up to 11 centimetres as an adult. Skin is brown, reddish or olive in colour with dark blotches containing one to two warts and its belly is predominantly white with dark spots. A light coloured line runs down the middle of the back.
It has a white belly with some darker spots. |
