| The American Peking duck was originally bred in China, going back some 3,000 years. There is also a completely separate German breed, which is why the naming. They are also sometime simply called `White Duck`.
These duck do have good meat, egg laying, or for just back yards with ponds.
These ducks, at Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park, have not moved for several days. They are wild and not for eating.
