| The Mariensaule is a Marian column located on the Marienplatz in Munich, Germany. It was erected in 1638 and is topped by a golden statue of the Virgin Mary. This building was the Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus) until 1874, when the municipality moved to the New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus). |
