| On the Elroy Sparta rail trail; the first of its kind in the nation, This is one of 3 tunnels along the bicycle and recreation trail and the only one with Alcoves built in so workers could get out of the way as trains traveled through the tunnel. This tunnel is closest to Wilton in Wisconsin and was completed in 1873. |
