| Albornoz fortress in Spoleto, Umbria, Italy. Originally built to defend the borders of the Papal State, was first one of the Pope's residence and later, around 1860, it has become a maximum security prison. In 1992, the prison was closed and the fortress was restored and it is now a museum. |
