The Sotos de la Albolafia natural monument is a protected natural area located in Spanish Cordoba between the Roman bridge and the San Rafael bridge. It is located in a section of the Guadalquivir River with flood zones, small outcrops, bars and islets product of the different historical fluctuations in the water level of the river as it passes through the city of Cordoba. The Roman Bridge, Puerta del Puente, and Mezquita Cathedral are iconic landmarks in Cordoba, Spain, showcasing the citys rich historical and architectural heritage. The Roman Bridge, spanning the Guadalquivir River, dates back to the 1st century BCE and connects the citys historic center. Nearby, the Puerta del Puente, a grand 16th-century gateway, leads to the Mezquita-Cathedral, a masterpiece blending Islamic and Christian architectural styles that epitomizes Cordobas multicultural history.
