| This scene at Irvine on the Scottish west coast was just asking to be photographed. At the end of one of those perfect autumn days the light had a magical quality which drew all manner of people to watch in silence as the rays of the setting sun lit up the waters of the River Clyde. The local landmark Ailsa Craig, or Paddys Milestone as yachtsmen sailing to Ireland call it, sits on the distant horizon |
