1. October 3, 2024. In the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as China), along the banks of the Red River in Hekou County, Yunnan Province, the local embankment was impacted by heavy rainfall caused by Typhoon Mokha, which resulted in a surge of the Red River water level. The picture shows timber, household items, and garbage swept downstream from above the mouth of the Red River, accumulating along the riverbank. Although nearly a month has passed, a large amount still remains. On the opposite bank is Lao Cai Province in Vietnam.
