北海公园位于中国北京城的中心区，主要由北海湖和琼华岛所组成。面积68公顷，其中水面约39公顷，陆地为29公顷。这里原是辽、金、元、明、清五个封建王朝的皇家`禁苑`，已有上千年历史。 Beihai park is located in the central area of Beijing City, mainly composed of Beihai lake and Qiong Hua island. It covers an area of 68 hectares, including 39 hectares of water and 29 hectares of land. It was originally the imperial `forbidden garden` of five feudal dynasties, Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, and has a history of thousands of years.
