| Picture of the Abbazia di Pulsano and the underlying hermitages. Built originally in 591 over a roman temple site, the abbey was completed in XII century with the building of the Saint Mary's church and the foundation of the Pulsano monastic order. Abandoned at the end of XIX century and left in ruins, In 1997 has been restored and opened to tourists it is now protected under the Parco Nazionale del Gargano. |
