Yellow Crown of Thorns (Euphorbia milii var. splendens), also known as Euphorbia milii var. splendens 'Yellow', is a variety of Euphorbia milii, commonly known as crown of thorns, Christ plant, Christ's thorn. It is a succulent flowering shrub with densely spiny stems. It is a member of spurge family Euphorbiaciae, native to Madagascar. Legend associates this plant with the crown of thorns worn by Christ.It is an easy to grow evergreen cactus succulent. It gives off large soft primrose yellow blooms borne in clusters. Tropical looking foliage emerges from the tips of the upright growing stems.
