Packard cars were the ultimate in luxury through the end of WW2. Features included real wood trims and wool paddings.
The problems came not so much because of the car, but when they tried to enter the truck and taxi production business after WW2. With out the backing of a large corporation like the `Big 3`, Packard finally just fell. The last official car was made in 1956.
