This is a Summer picture of the fourth Illinois State House located in Vandalia, Illinois in Fayetteville County. This structure is the oldest surviving capitol building in zillinois, it served as the capitol from 1836-1839` it is an example of Greek Revival architecture, it was built in 1836. This building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 21, 1974. This picture was taken on September 9, 2017.
