The twin towers are located in Taiyuan, the capital city of Shanxi Province, China. The towers were built in 1600s, more than 400 years ago. Both of them are brick-bulit, but in wooden style, which is quite common in ancient China. Contrary to Middle Age western European, Chinese builders preferred to built by wood than stone and brick. As a result, even the brick-built architectures were sometimes deliberately built in wooden style.
