The front of the historic Burton Constable Hall. There has been a Constable dwelling on this site since the 12the century but only the lower part of the north tower survives today. In the late 1400s a new brick manor house was built here but much was demolished in the 1560s when Sir John Constable constructed a new Elizabethan Mansion.
