Zicrona caerulea, or the blue shieldbug, is a metallic blue-green bug that measures 5–8 mm and is a beneficial predator of beetle larvae and caterpillars. It is found in various habitats with low vegetation, such as grasslands and heathland, and overwinters as an adult with one generation per year. Immature stages are red with black markings.
