| Pictured is a partial view of the ceiling fresco in the Philosophical Hall, Strahov Monastery Library, Praque, Czech Republic. The Philosophical Hall was added to the library in the 18th century. The ceiling fresco `Intellectual Progress of Mankind` was painted over 6 months in 1794 by the Viennese painter Anton Maulbertsch with the help of just one assistant. |
