Orangeries of the Castle and Palace of Weilburg in Germany, Hesse Schloss Weilburg lies high above the River Lahn. Among the many stately homes built by those absolutist overlords who were legion in German lands, this is one of the best preserved. The four-winged, 16th-century Renaissance palace has two parlours used for formal acts of state, such as legal proceedings or the tributes paid to a newly invested Count.
