The memorial, built in 1934, to the voyage of the Mayflower which left Plymouth England in 1620. The 400th anniversary of the voyage is in 2020. The Pilgrim Fathers aboard the ship reputedly sheltered in Plymouth from bad weather in the English Channel. It is believed that the actual site of the original steps was very near this location. A viewing platform looks out over the harbor harbour. |
