The Hall of the Mother Goodnesses in the Altemps Palace National Roman Museum in Rome Italy. In the room is exhibited the head of the Ephesian Artemis unearthed in 2009 during the urban excavation campaign in Via Marmorata. The so-called Apartments of D`Annunzio display a major collection of Egyptian art, found in Rome in the area of the Campus Martius where once the great Sanctuary dedicated to Isis stood. They partly come from Egypt and partly are the result of a Roman production after the Egyptian fashion that developed abreast with the spread of the Egyptian cults in the West. Located near Piazza Navona the Altemps Palace is one of the most interesting examples of Renaissance architecture in Rome. Erected during the fifteenth century by the Riario family and refurbished a century later under the orders of Cardinal Marco Sittico Altemps, Palazzo Altemps since 1997 it is one of the four seats of the National Roman Museum. The Palazzo Altemps houses an important collection of Greek and Roman sculpture that belonged to several families of the Roman nobility between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
