Ziridava was a Dacian fortress. Today it is believed that the city is the county Ziridava Arad. Enumerating cities Dacia Greek geographer Ptolemy (Claudius Ptolaemeus), in his Geographia mentions the town in the far west of Dacia Ziridava. This is the only source of ancient geography in more detail for the territories north of the Danube which has come down to us. |
