Wat Mahathat Yuwaratharangsarit Ratchaworamahawihan near Sanam Luang in Bangkok, Thailand. The temple, a royal temple of the first grade, is situated to the north of the Royal Palace. It was built in the Ayutthaya period and called Wat Salak. King Rama I renamed the temple Wat Phra Sri Sanphechayadaram and later Wat Mahathat. |
