On October 12, 2025, during the Sichuan Tibet trip, you will arrive at Dege along the 317 National Highway. The full name of Dege Scripture Printing House is the treasure of Xizang culture, the Dharma Library of Dege Scripture Printing House, also known as Dege Auspicious Gathering House , which is located in Ganzi, Sichuan Province, China. The Dege Scripture Printing Institute was founded by Dege's 42nd chieftain Choji Danbazeren in 1729, and was expanded by his son and later chieftains. It took 27 years to finally complete. The Printing Institute has a collection of over 830 classic books, more than 290000 woodcut printing plates, and a total of about 500 million characters, ranking first among the three major printing institutes in Tibet in terms of storage capacity. The content of the sutra covers a wide range of fields, including Buddhist scriptures, astronomy, geography, medicine, history, literature, etc., including rare and rare editions.
