The wooden St. Nicholas Church is located in the territory of the Suzdal Kremlin. The wooden St. Nicholas Church was built in 1766 in the village of Glotovo, Yuryev-Polsky district, Vladimir region. In 1960, the church was transported to Suzdal and restored by architect M. M. Sharonov. The church is a sample of the oldest russian temples. At the heart of its architecture is a chopped cage, similar to a Russian hut. It is located on a high basement and is surrounded on three sides by an open gallery. |
