Pictured is a windmill with crops in the foreground photographed from outside the Schermerhorn Museum Mill, Stompetoren, Netherlands. It is located in the Schermer, the last great impolderment area in North Holland. It is nearly four centuries old and can be explored from top to bottom so you can see exactly how a water mill and reclaiming polders works. You will also see how the miller lived who ran the water mill day and night. The visitors center next to the mill has a pleasant café and sells authentic clogs used by the farmers near the mill.
