This is a photo of a herd of wild Spanish mustang horses that live on Caney Mountain in Oklahoma. The stud horse is called 'Little Chief Pushmataha', he is the grey speckled horse on the right on the photo. The other three are his mares. They are direct descendants from the original Choctaw Indian ponies from the Trail of Tears. They have pure bloodlines tracing back to the Spanish conquistadors that first came to the United State in the 1500's. They have ties to Gilbert Jones from Blackjack Mountain. They run free still today! I love their reflection in the water.
