The Saut du Doubs is a fall of 27 meters high on the Doubs located on the French-Swiss border, and partly in the town of Villers-le-Lac French side, partly in that of Brenets Swiss side. On the French side, the site is located east of Franche-Comté canton of Morteau, department of Doubs and on the Swiss side, west of the canton of Neuchâtel. The Saut du Doubs is located at the eastern end of Lake Brenets named in France Lake Chaillexon, also located on the border. Downstream of the jump, the Doubs continues its route through the Jura massif in gorges.
