Mahdia is a city in northeastern Tunisia, on the Mediterranean Sea. The city had about 52 thousand inhabitants in 2014. Mahdia is currently a small tourist town on the Mediterranean coast, not far from Monastir and Sousse. The beaches in the town are clean, sandy and wide.
